We are looking for a Facilities Management Officer to work in the Facilities Management (FM) Team providing facility services and compliance checks to the council community and other corporate buildings.

Ideal working pattern will be either working 5 mornings or 5 afternoons but discussions can be had at the interview on the working pattern.
You will need to hold a UK Driving Licence due to the requirement to visit our various buildings across Reading. Please indicate in your supporting statement that you have a driving licence.
You will work in a fast paced mobile environment in various buildings across the borough of Reading as part of the wider Facilities Management Team. This role would be ideally suited to someone with experience of carrying out building compliance and other checks, some basic repairs in a corporate type buildings with great customer care attributes and an eye for detail or someone who would like to broaden their skill base into something different.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with the public and a strong commitment to excellent customer care. You will bring compliance or safety-related experience, along with a solid appreciation of the importance of Health & Safety, including practical experience of carrying out statutory compliance tasks in corporate buildings. The role also requires the ability to undertake basic repairs and maintenance work.
Flexibility is essential, as you will need to work across different sites and hold a clean driving licence. The role may also involve some evening and weekend work on an overtime basis.
As some tasks are physically demanding, you should be comfortable with manual work. A commitment to further training and development is also important for this position.
