Job summary

Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking an experienced Maintenance operative to perform repairs, inspections, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general maintenance across our facilities, mainly at the Academy Training Ground. The role involves assisting other trades to ensure high service levels while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include day-to-day repairs, painting, plumbing, tiling, carpentry, and preparing facilities for home matches, with regular checks across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance environment.
• Experience in plumbing, painting, decorating, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Ability to read manuals and drawings.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Experience working in large scale stadiums/buildings.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day general maintenance repairs for facilities, especially at the Academy Training Ground.
• Carry out painting work: prepare surfaces, remove old paint, mix and apply paints.
• Carry out plumbing work: fix leaks, unblock drains, install fittings.
• Tiling and decorating: level surfaces, lay tiles, repair surfaces.
• Carpentry: measure and install shelves, cabinets, handles, locks.
• Prepare facilities for home matches.
• Regular checks and repairs on lights, toilets, and seats.
• Follow Crystal Palace specifications and health and safety procedures.
• Work per operational procedures and safety requirements.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Manager.
• Inspect Training Ground and Academy daily/weekly for upkeep.
• Complete works at other Crystal Palace grounds including the Academy Training Ground.
• Other duties as required by line manager.
• Uphold club policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities.
