Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a Day-to-Day Estates Maintenance Technician to help keep the CTMUHB estate safe, clean, and functional for patients, staff and visitors.

You will undertake unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repairs, operate relevant tools, carry out safety checks, and assist with tasks such as bed/wheelchair maintenance, fire alarm testing and utility meter readings. This is a hands-on role in a NHS Wales environment.

Qualifications

• Unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repairs within own skill level.
• Bed/Wheelchair maintenance.
• Safety checks and readings on water and heating systems.
• General driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Liaises with maintenance staff and customers on progress and problems.
• Performs semi-skilled tasks using relevant tools within own area of expertise e.g. Bed/Wheelchair maintenance.
• Carries out semi-skilled reactive maintenance duties.
• Assist with fire alarm testing as required.
• Carries out utility meter readings as required.
• Filter changing on ventilation plants.
• Change small cupboard locks.
