Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team in Motherwell. The role is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a salary of £27,000 to £30,000 per annum plus benefits and bonus.

The successful candidate will perform general maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and related areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Monday to Friday shifts from 08:00 to 17:00, with opportunities to contribute to cost-saving

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance worker in similar roles.
• Broad knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical or mechanical repairs, painting, and fabric maintenance.
• Inspect and troubleshoot building systems, report when specialist service is needed, and carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and manage work orders while keeping tools and supplies inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
• Assist site team with day-to-day contract operations and support portering duties as needed.
• Liaise with contractors and external service providers, recording work performed.
