Job summary

Launchpad Reading is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform maintenance tasks, health and safety checks, and basic repairs across multiple properties. You will maintain logs of work and coordinate with contractors as needed to ensure timely completion.

The role requires a valid driving licence, an Enhanced DBS, and a proactive, organized approach to meet the service standards. This is a full-time post based in Reading.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance within the acceptable capacity of a handyperson.
• Enhanced DBS will be needed for this post.
• Full driving licence required.
• Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance work to a high standard within agreed deadlines.
• Liaise with contractors when required and feedback concerns to the manager.
• Maintain log sheets of work completed.
• Carry out health and safety checks per regulations and company policies.
• Keep tools, equipment and the property secure and well-maintained.
