Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a major retail client’s nationwide estate, including Newport. The role requires hands-on maintenance across building fabric disciplines and will involve planned and reactive tasks to keep sites safe and compliant.

You will complete inspections, prepare quotations, and produce maintenance reports while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as Facilities Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician or Building Maintenance Engineer.
• Multi-skilled experience across building fabric trades.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building maintenance and repair works.
• Ability to diagnose issues, assess repair requirements and provide practical solutions.
• Experience completing maintenance reports and job documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Facilities Maintenance Technician | Maintenance Technician | Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer Newport | £30,000 - £37,000 per annum | 8:00am - 5:00pm | Monday to Friday | Permanent

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a professional Facilities Management team supporting one of the UK's largest retail clients across a nationwide estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician, Building Maintenance Technician, or Facilities Maintenance Engineer with experience across multiple building fabric disciplines.

Working in a hands‑on role, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections across commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and health and safety standards.
