Job summary

British Study Centres Ltd is seeking a few dedicated Maintenance Officers to join our Estates and Facilities department, supporting the safe, efficient and effective operation of the College across our sites. The role has 3 posts for 3 successful candidates.

You will maintain College buildings, facilities, grounds, equipment and communal areas; undertake general repairs, routine inspections, compliance checks, portering and site support, while responding professionally to maintenance issues and

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining College buildings, facilities and grounds.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to undertake routine inspections and compliance checks.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive between sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance to fixtures, fittings, furniture and equipment.
• Undertake minor redecoration and general caretaking duties as required.
• Carry out regular checks of buildings, grounds, toilets and communal areas.
• Undertake and record routine compliance checks for fire alarms and emergency lighting.
• Identify hazards, report defects and respond to maintenance issues and incidents.
• Receive and transport deliveries between College sites and keep vehicles clean.
