We are recruiting a Facilities Maintenance Engineer for our site in LE3, Leicester. You will be part of the Maintenance team overseeing all aspects of the MRF’s maintenance and upkeep. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, and Tuesday from 6am to 6:15pm.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee all building maintenance including office spaces, structures, and infrastructure.
• Ensure proper operation of these areas regularly to prevent failure.
• Maintain, repair, or replace all MRF equipment in line with KPIs.
• Conduct weekly plant shutdown inspections of machinery.
• Collaborate with site sub-contractors.
• Complete permits and isolations to ensure health and safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels with monthly stock takes.
• Perform weekly roof inspections.
• Participate in daily team briefings.
• Follow operational noise and management plans.

Essential Skills and Criteria

• Experience with mobile plant equipment such as forklift trucks, skid steers, or clamp trucks.
• Good communication and English skills.
• Computer literate.
