Job summary

Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities maintenance team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This permanent, full-time role involves a 38.5-hour week with 4 on/4 off shifts from 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00, including a one-hour unpaid break.

The package includes a competitive salary and benefits. Reporting to the Shift Lead, you will maintain HV/MV systems, HVAC, gas appliances, and piped medical gas equipment, carrying out planned

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or Level 2/3 electrical qualifications plus 18th Edition.
• Experience in building services installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems across the site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, installations and refurbishments.
• Supervise sub-contractors and manage contractors with safe permit-to-work system.
• Ensure PPM and reactive tasks meet contract timescales.
