Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support planned and reactive maintenance across our site in Brough. The role involves assisting engineers with building services, plant equipment, and general facilities to ensure a safe, compliant environment and high service levels.

You will undertake fabric maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and minor projects, while keeping accurate records in the CAFM system. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring security clearance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management, construction, or trade support role.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work on a BAE Systems site.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site.
• Assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings.
• Support engineers with mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance activities.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting, decorating and handyman tasks as required.
• Carry out routine inspections and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Assist with site moves, furniture installations and minor project works.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work using the company's CAFM system or relevant documentation.
