Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Building Fabric Engineer to join the onsite team in Cardiff (CF15 7YJ). The role is 40 hours per week, with responsibilities covering basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building fabric tasks to support facilities services.

You will work with management on-site, supervise trainees, and undertake minor mechanical/electrical repairs as part of a preventative maintenance program.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• The ideal candidate should be qualified in a Building Services discipline.
• Plumbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering basic plumbing, ceiling repairs, carpet fitting, fitting door closers, roof and gutter cleaning, emergency light testing, painting and basic carpentry skills.
• Customer care/relationship building skills are essential in order to communicate with both internal and external clients.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• You will be required to supervise trainees and technicians where advised and will be communicating with departmental management to ensure resource requirements are clearly understood.
