Job summary

ABM Belfast is seeking an experienced joiner/handyman to support response maintenance, surveying, roofing repairs and general handyman activities across client sites. You will address maintenance requests promptly, perform surveys and fault finding, and carry out painting, drywall, plumbing fixes, and installation tasks while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a UK driving licence, adherence to safety regulations and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

Essential criteria include proven joiner and handyman experience with response maintenance.
Strong knowledge of surveying, fault finding, roofing repairs and general joinery.
Versatility to perform a range of handyman tasks.
Excellent customer service and clear communication with clients and team.
Adherence to safety regulations and compliance with regulations.
Certification or apprenticeship in joinery and a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Address maintenance requests promptly, including joinery repairs and handyman tasks.
Conduct surveys and fault finding to identify issues.
Perform roofing repairs and gutter maintenance as needed.
Paint, drywall, plumbing fixes, installation of fixtures and furniture moves.
Interact with customers professionally and exceed expectations.
Lead planned preventative maintenance including fire door, gutter and window inspections.
Test emergency lighting, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance.
