Job summary

Combat Stress is seeking a Handy Person for our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey. This part-time role supports building maintenance, garden upkeep and safety checks as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key duties include maintaining facilities to high standards, conducting regular equipment checks (fire and safety, emergency lighting, PAT testing) and ensuring safety policies are followed. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• DBS check will be required.
• Right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings to high standards and protect infrastructure, décor and furnishings.
• Assist with gardens and grounds maintenance.
• Conduct regular equipment checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers).
• Undertake PAT testing of portable electrical appliances.
• Ensure health and safety policies are observed and hazards are reported.
