Job summary

GOALS Tolworth is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Person (Caretaker) to own day-to-day upkeep of Tolworth site, including pitches, grounds and Club facilities. You will work with the General Manager to keep the site safe, welcoming and well-presented for customers and the team.

The role combines general maintenance with pitch upkeep, requires proactive issue resolution, and offers the chance to manage tasks independently while supporting a larger site.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker, maintenance, facilities, grounds or similar practical experience.
• Good general maintenance and DIY skills.
• Sports, leisure or grounds maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Ability to prioritise planned and reactive work.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect the Club, pitches, grounds and external areas for maintenance and safety.
• Carry out general repairs to fixtures, fittings and building elements.
• Undertake basic DIY, joinery, plumbing, roofing or electrical work as appropriate.
• Paint, decorate and perform deep cleaning as required.
• Maintain pitches and external areas to a high standard and report issues.
