Job summary

Bradford College is seeking an experienced Head of Facilities Management to oversee estates and facilities across our campus and related sites. You will manage contracts, budgets and capital work while driving sustainable improvements.

You will lead on energy reduction, asset management and compliance, ensuring a safe, compliant estate and effective outsourced delivery. A degree or professional qualification plus senior facilities experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities and estates management at a senior level.
• Experience supporting and leading capital programmes.
• Experience with effective service contract management.
• Experience assessing capital project feasibility and developing business cases.
• Experience in health and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Leads on the maintenance and development of estates and facilities.
• Leads on sustainable development with focus on reducing energy consumption.
• Responsible for asset management.
• Ensures full compliance of facilities and estates management and regulatory obligations.
• Owns the capital plan and ensures delivery of capital projects.
• Supports development of capital funding bids and manages assurance processes.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for safe, efficient estates and facilities.
• Identifies and procures outsourced suppliers for essential services.
• Implements financial and service efficiencies through effective facilities management.
• Maximises income from the estate and explores future commercial revenue.
• Defines and delivers the departmental budget.
• Responsible for contract management and compliance as the College’s informed client.
