Bradfield College is seeking a Lead Capital Projects Manager to oversee capital construction and refurbishment across the College and St Andrew's School. The role combines hands-on delivery with leadership of a small team and strategic oversight of the estate's capital programme.

You will ensure projects meet high standards, on time and within budget, collaborating with Estates, Health & Safety, IT and external consultants.

Competenze

• Degree or professional qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Project Management or a related discipline.
• MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or an equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous.
• Significant experience managing capital construction and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
• Experience supervising project managers or other construction professionals.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, refurbishment and maintenance.
• Experience managing external consultants, contractors, budgets and programmes.
• Good understanding of building regulations and CDM requirements.

Mansioni

• Lead the planning, management and delivery of capital construction, refurbishment and improvement projects across Bradfield College and St Andrew's School.
• Manage, support and develop a small team providing technical guidance and oversight of their projects.
• Oversee the capital projects programme, ensuring effective prioritisation, resource allocation and delivery against budgets and timescales.
• Directly manage projects from feasibility and design through procurement, construction and completion.
• Review project designs against briefs and College standards, guiding consultants and the team.
• Coordinate external consultants, contractors and advisers to meet quality standards.
• Work with Estates, Health & Safety, IT and other departments to align projects with college operations.
• Monitor expenditure, programmes and risks; report to senior management and the Infrastructure Programme Board.
• Ensure compliance with building regs, planning requirements, CDM and health and safety laws.
