Job summary

DCS group, Defence & Advanced Manufacturing, North West division in Greater Manchester, is seeking a Manufacturing Facilities Engineer to oversee and continually improve the performance, safety, and efficiency of production sites in the North West.

You will develop and drive a rolling facilities improvement plan, support uninterrupted manufacturing operations in a highly regulated environment, and lead capital projects to enhance infrastructure performance.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC in engineering.
• Experience in facilities or maintenance engineering within manufacturing/defence/regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of PUWER, LOTO, and HSE regulations.
• NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms (Agility or similar).
• Exposure to LEAN, Six Sigma, or project management tools (PRINCE2, PMP).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a 3-year facilities strategy aligned with wider operational goals.
• Lead capital and improvement projects to enhance infrastructure performance.
• Manage supplier and contractor relationships to ensure operational continuity.
