Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Domestic/Kitchen Assistant to join the North View team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role involves cleaning patient areas, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and supporting daily facilities operations.

The post requires good communication, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifikationen

• Experience and understanding of the role.
• Infection prevention and safety.
• Patient dignity and communication.
• Teamwork and reliability.
• Previous experience within a cleaning, Domestic or housekeeping environment.
• Basic knowledge of infection prevention and control.
• Awareness of COSHH and safe working practices.
• Knowledge of colour-coded cleaning systems.

Aufgaben

• Undertake routine and scheduled cleaning duties within allocated areas of North View.
• Clean patient bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, corridors, laundry and other areas as required.
• Clean floors using vacuuming and mopping; disinfect surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning cupboards and equipment; replenish consumables.
• Follow local procedures for colour-coded cleaning in designated areas.
