Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a reliable Concierge to support the safe, secure and efficient operation of Council buildings and satellite sites. The role involves building management, security, keyholding, room setup, contractor liaison, routine facilities support and responding to operational issues.

The post requires participation in out-of-hours and weekend rotas, plus front-of-house duties and visitor assistance as required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused front-of-house experience preferred.
• Understand building management concepts and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in security and caretaking for large buildings or complexes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building management and security operations.
• Handle keyholding, room setup and contractor liaison.
• Provide routine facilities support and respond to operational issues.
• Support out-of-hours and weekend rotas to maintain service continuity.
• Deliver front-of-house support and visitor assistance as needed.
