Job summary

Verdant Parks in Wooler is seeking a Facilities Cleaner to maintain the main complex, reception, bar, restaurant areas, leisure spaces and corridors. You will ensure public areas stay clean, tidy and presentable throughout the day, including washrooms with replenishment of consumables.

You’ll perform routine and deep cleaning per standards, using equipment safely and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Flexible hours, weekends and bank holidays, full training provided, competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in hospitality or leisure
• Strong eye for detail and pride in high standards
• Reliable, hardworking and proactive
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good awareness of health and safety practices
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
• Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to guest experiences

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the main complex building, including reception, bar and restaurant areas, leisure spaces and communal corridors
• Ensuring all public areas are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard throughout the day
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls
• Carrying out routine and periodic deep cleaning tasks in line with company standards
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising floors and surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely and responsibly
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with health and safety guidelines
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or hazards within the complex promptly to the appropriate team

Contract Type: Seasonal

Salary: £8.85 per hour (age 16-17), £12.71 per hour (age 18+)

What you’ll be doing
