Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Facilities Cleaner to join our team at Loughborough College. The role involves cleaning classrooms, offices, studios, corridors and communal areas to a high standard, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Shifts are available Mon–Fri 6–9am or Mon–Thu 4–7pm and Fri 3–6pm; weekend work may be required. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but training is provided, and staff benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning experience in commercial and/or domestic environments.
  • Experience working unsupervised and using own initiative.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements related to cleaning (COSHH and Manual Handling).

Responsibilities

  • Clean College premises: classrooms, offices, studios, corridors, stairways, bedrooms, student kitchens, sports and leisure facilities, toilets, showers, cafeterias and communal areas.
  • Adopt safe working practices.
  • Work in a team to provide flexible service cover across all areas.

Salary: £10,106.40 per annum (Based on a FTE of £25,266)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Cleaner to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.

This opportunity is for enthusiastic and reliable facilities cleaners to join our friendly team of dedicated cleaning staff who take great pride in providing an excellent quality service to the College and its customers.

Excellent timekeeping, communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and independently are essential requirements.

Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage, but training opportunities are available. Some flexibility will be required as there may be occasional weekend work available.

Shift patterns available are either Mon - Fri 6 - 9am or Mon - Thurs 4 - 7pm and Friday 3 - 6pm.

Responsibilities of this role include;

  • To undertake the cleaning of the College premises working in classrooms, offices, studios, corridors and stairways, bedrooms and student kitchens, sports and leisure facilities, toilets, showers, cafeterias and communal areas.
  • To adopt safe working practices.
  • Work in a team providing flexible service cover across all areas.

What we are looking for;

  • Previous experience of cleaning in a commercial and/or domestic environment
  • Experience of working unsupervised and using own initiative
  • Demonstrated understanding of Health and Safety requirements related to cleaning for example COSHH and Manual Handling
