Job summary

The King’s Academy in Cheddar, Somerset, is seeking a Facilities Caretaker on a permanent basis. The role is 37 hours per week, all year round, with split shifts (week 1: 7:00–15:00; week 2: 11:00–19:00, with a 30-minute lunch). Starting salary £26,389 includes all allowances.

You will join the Premises Team to deliver security, repairs, maintenance and cleaning, with training provided and opportunities to work across other Trust schools.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Ability to build working relationships in a fast-moving environment.
• Good communication with staff, visitors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide site services including security, repairs, maintenance and cleaning.
• Work across the Premises Team and potentially other Trust schools.
• Show initiative and work with minimal supervision.
