Thames Valley Police is seeking a facilities maintenance role in Amersham to support the upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment and fleet within a defined area. You will assist with Health & Safety compliance, fire alarms and water testing, and work from a rostered on-call schedule across the force region.
The role requires good numeracy and literacy, IT literacy, and the ability to prioritise and work with minimal supervision.

Band 2E, circa £28,410 per annum, plus on call allowance, plus benefits
In this role you will contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment and fleet including aspects of Health & Safety (H&S), across a specified area. Undertake maintenance in accordance with skill level, agreed service levels and protocols. Provide an ‘on call’ service on a roster basis for a region of the force.
Duties will include complying with Health and Safety legislation including fire alarms and water testing. You will monitor sites in terms of heating, cooling, site security, cleaning and vehicle fleet administration.
You will have a good standard of education and good numeric and literacy skills. Experience of working in a team environment is essential together with the ability to prioritise, manage your time effectively and be able to work unsupervised. IT literate in Microsoft Office packages, you will have recent experience of fleet/buildings management.
A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.
