Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Rotherham is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) at Band 2. The post is part-time, 25 hours per week across a 5 over 7 shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays. Salary £25,272 per annum pro rata for part-time.

You will clean patient and non-patient areas and will receive in-house training to support your personal development. NHS experience is desirable but not essential.

Job overview

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Domestic Team at Wathwood Hospital. You will be responsible for cleaning all our patient and non patient areas.

Previous experience of working within a domestic or cleaning environment is essential and extra training will be given, experience within the NHS or a hospital setting is desirable but not essential.

We have in-house training to help your personal development plans and will support you with all of your training needs.

This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Main duties of the job

Facilities Assistants/Domestic Assistants should have the ability to work effectively and flexibly, both alone and as part of a team. Maintaining a high standard of work will be essential.

This vacancy will work on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays - 5 hours a day. Hours of working can be discussed at interview.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

  • An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices
