Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Assistant for West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. The role is 17.5 hours per week on a 5-on/3-off rota, with shift times 3:30pm–7:30pm, across four positions.

You will help maintain a clean and safe environment on wards and clinical areas, contribute to induction of new staff, and support the team in achieving high cleanliness standards in line with Trust values.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level1 Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent.
  • BICSc certification or equivalent.
  • NVQ 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.

Responsibilities

  • Floor buffing.
  • Shampoo carpets with extraction machines.
  • Clean inside windows, frames and sills.
  • Clean furniture and fittings, mirrors, etc., including moving furniture/equipment as required.
  • Assist in induction of new staff.
  • Routine cleaning and basic maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Attend all Mandatory training sessions.
  • Order weekly stores and put away on delivery.

Main duties of the job

Floor buffing

Shampoo carpets with extraction machines
