Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Band 2) for a part-time post in Nottingham City Centre, 15 hours per week, 07:00–10:00, Monday to Friday. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and safety in The Health Shop building and supports the Estates and Facilities Directorate.

Full induction and ongoing training are provided, with opportunities to develop skills across the Facilities Team and across Trust locations, while benefiting from NHS pension

  • Ability to undertake all mandatory training as required by the individual site
  • Experience or working within a catering, cleaning or portering environment
  • Experience of working within healthcare environment which may include: a catering, cleaning or portering function. Experience of working within a food safety management system (HACCP)

The Operational Divisions and Service Directorates are supported by a range of Corporate Services. These ensure the efficient and effective operation of our core businesses and support the delivery of our performance and regulatory functions. All corporate services staff are specialists who use their professional skills to provide services across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities Services team, part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role is based at The Health Shop, 12 Broad Street, Nottingham City Centre, NG1 3AL, a specialist community health service supporting vulnerable individuals within the local community.

This is a part-time permanent position, working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), from 07:00 to 10:00 each morning. Due to the early start time, staff may be working independently at the beginning of their shift and must follow Trust lone-working procedures and local site safety arrangements.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Full in-house training will be provided to support your personal development, and you will be supported with all required training. Uniform will also be supplied.
