Job summary

Ormandy Rycroft is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator for its Bradford facility to fabricate bespoke stainless steel and steel pressure vessels for HVAC and process markets.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG and TIG welding, able to read technical drawings, and capable of cross-training in related welding methods. This permanent role features a 37.5-hour week, 4-day week options, overtime, and a group pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel and steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to cross-train in related welding techniques and fabrication tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel and steel pressure vessels per drawings.
• Weld and fabricate skids and frames; perform pipework fabrication as required.
• Apply additional welding techniques such as sub-arc and seam welding when needed.

Description

The role involves the fabrication of bespoke stainless steel and steel high quality pressure vessels for both the HVAC and process markets.

Ormandy Rycroft are a world leader of offsite and heat exchange solutions for all commercial and industrial sectors. The job would be based at our state of the art manufacturing facility, situated in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Essential Skills

The primary role will be the fabrication of stainless steel and steel pressure vessels. Candidates must be proficient in MIG and TIG welding processes of stainless steel and steel and have the ability to read and work to technical drawings.

Secondary roles include the use of other welding techniques, such as sub-arc and seam welding and the welding and fabrication of skids and frames, as well as skills in pipework fabrication.

The ideal candidate is expected to be dependable, conscientious and diligent, with attention to detail and an ability to be cross-trained.

Desirable Skills

Any work within copper and other exotic alloys.

Qualifications

Experience in coded welding, having carried previous qualifications to EN 287, EN ISO 9606 - 1 and ASME IX.
