Job summary

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for a permanent Fabricator Welder position in Bradford. Immediate start available subject to interview and weld test. Rate of pay is £16.58 - £18.82 per hour, based on skills and experience. Working 39 hours per week, Mon-Thu 8am-4:30pm and Fri 8am-3:30pm.

Requirements include apprentice trained or shop experienced Welder, welding certificates preferred, and ability to read engineering drawings. Overtime may be required on short notice.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or shop experienced Welder / Fabricator.
• Certificates in welding preferred.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Physically fit to lift and move heavy packages and objects.
• Overtime available on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Proficient welding techniques (Mig/Mag, Tig).
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply fabrication or welding techniques.
• Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material in accordance with engineering drawings.
• Must have a high mechanical aptitude and be able to use various mechanical hand / power tools and general engineering equipment.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in fabricating fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with supervisor's / team members

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test)

Rate of pay is £16.58 - £18.82 per hour (dependent on skills and experience).

This will be working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Fridays 8am - 3:30pm

• A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures
• A good team player
• Willing to work overtime at short notice
• Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic
• Attention to detailNVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
