Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd in the Cardiff area is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder. You will manage the full fabrication process—from reading drawings and measuring to cutting, assembling and welding finished components.

The ideal candidate has strong metal fabrication experience, good MIG welding ability and the skill to work from engineering drawings. You’ll contribute to bespoke steel and fire protection products for UK projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication and welding to high standards.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Practical fabrication skills including measuring, cutting and assembling.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating steel components from drawings and specifications.
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials.
• MIG welding to produce clean, strong welds.
• Assembling components to specification and checking quality.
• Working from drawings and using workshop equipment safely.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
