Job summary

South West Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder for a permanent role with a long-established structural steel company near Bournemouth. The role mainly involves MIG welding, with TIG skills a bonus.

Working hours are 06:30–16:00, Monday to Friday, with possible earlier starts. Probation of 12 weeks and an open attitude to overtime. A company pension is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder in a workshop environment.
• MIG welding experience is essential; TIG is advantageous but not required.
• CSCS card is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate components in a busy structural steel workshop.
• Ensure workmanship meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances to produce accurate fabrications.

Job description

A long established Structural Steel company near Bournemouth is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their expanding workshops on a permanent basis.

This role will involve predominately MIG welding. Experience of TIG welding would be advantageous but not essential.

Hours: Standard, full-time contracted hours: 06:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday

About the Company:

Design, manufacture and construct high quality steel structures including industrial buildings, aircraft hangars and their electro-mechanical doors, warehouses, grandstands, multi-storey buildings, car parks and bridges, as well as defence equipment, manual and electric roller shutter doors, windows and curtain walling.

• The role will be on a 12 week probationary basis and to start ASAP
• CSCS card is beneficial, not essential.

Starting Salary is competitive depending on experience

Hourly rate will increase further following probationary period and possibly sooner depending on skill level.

• Overtime is available and ideally the candidate should be open to working additional hours

Overtime is paid after 39 weekly hours at x1.3 and x1.5 on a Saturday morning
