Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is recruiting a Fabricator/Welder in Loughborough for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent role. You will work on structural steel projects for our client base, welding to required standards and reading detailed drawings.

The position offers overtime and a pathway to permanent employment. Local shifts and the chance to contribute to national projects are part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience fabricating structural steel.
• Experience MIG welding.
• Excellent understanding of welding codes and standards.
• Experience using oxy-acetylene kit and plasma cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Proven experience in full penetration butt welds and multi-run fillets.

Job description

We're recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder to join our well-established client based in Loughborough on a full time, temporary to permanent basis.

Salary: £16.50 per hour (plenty of overtime available paying time and half and double time).

Hours: 07:15 - 16:15 Monday - Thursday and 07:15 - 12:15 Friday.

The Role:

As a Fabricator / Welder, you will work with structural steel metalwork for our client's long-term national clients.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience fabricating structural steel.
• Experience MIG welding.
• Excellent understanding of welding codes and standards.
• Experience of using oxy-acetylene kit, plasma kits for burning and jig work.
• To be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Proven experience in carrying out full penetration butt welds and muti-run fillets overlayed.
