This is a full-time on-site role based in Cardiff for a Fabricator/Welder. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks such as reading and interpreting technical drawings, cutting and shaping metal components, and welding them together to create structures or products. Other duties include maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met, and collaborating with team members on various projects. You will work independently or as part of a team to Engineering Drawings in a multitude of disciplines such as:

• Bending, forming, fabrication of sheet & structural steel
• Use of hand tools i.e. drills, grinders etc
• Ability to tack jobs together using MIG or TIG welding
• Grinding
• MIG / TIG Welding
• Manufacture of framework

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Time served Fabricator / Welder
• Ability to manufacture from engineering drawings
• Ability to read drawings
• Experience with fitting and assembly of complete machines
• Work well as a part of a team
• Good timekeeping
• Proven attendance record
• Own transport preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in welding and metal fabrication techniques
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong hands-on skills with tools and equipment maintenance
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
• Team collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site
• Certification in welding and fabrication is a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in the creative industries, is advantageous
