Job summary

Smart Manufacturing Solutions are recruiting for a skilled Fabricator to join the production team. You will manufacture high-quality products from engineering drawings while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, fabricating components, inspecting work, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm; Friday 7:00am–11:00am. Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous fabrication experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work safely, independently, and efficiently to meet production targets.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of production when required.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.

• Complete production paperwork accurately and record stock where required.
• Remove burrs and ensure all parts are clearly identified.
• Prepare and palletise finished products for the next stage of production.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance checks.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and quality targets.
• Complete additional duties within your competency as required by Team Leaders or Management.
