Job summary

Harry Burrows Fabrications Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee a team of fabricators and welders, ensuring efficiency, quality and on-time delivery on the shop floor.

You will lead daily targets, coach welding techniques, promote safety and drive continuous improvement through TPM, 5S/6S and Lean practices. This is a hands-on role in a busy fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading fabrication or welding teams.
• Strong MIG/TIG welding and fabrication knowledge.
• Ability to read engineering drawings to spec.
• Excellent organisation, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Hands-on leadership with safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the fabrication team to meet daily targets.
• Train and develop team in welding techniques and safety standards.
• Foster collaborative, accountable team culture and conduct reviews.
• Coordinate HR processes including discipline and return-to-work.
• Ensure smooth workflow, schedule Labour and meet deadlines.
• Maintain communication with Engineering, Quality and Logistics.
• Interpret drawings and ensure products meet specifications.
• Champion welding quality standards and assist weld coordination.
• Support TPM, 5S/6S and Lean manufacturing.
