Job summary

RNN Group is recruiting a Fabrication & Welding Lecturer to deliver hands-on training at North Notts Campus, Worksop, with some offsite opportunities. The role is temporary (Sept 2026–June 2027), full-time (37 hours per week), with a pay rate up to £26.48 per hour plus holiday pay, dependent on experience and teaching qualifications.

You will teach fabrication and welding qualifications, drive student progression, and help enhance the college’s engineering provision.

Qualifications

• Must hold a teaching qualification or be working towards one.
• Must hold a level 3+ professional qualification in Fabrication & Welding.
• Experience teaching students/apprentices and managing workload.
• Desirable assessors award.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training to students advancing in Fabrication and Welding.
• Inspire and develop industry-ready fabricators and coded welders.
• Contribute to shaping and updating the engineering curriculum.
• Provide supportive teaching and timely assessments to individual learners.
• Model professional conduct and show students how to excel in workshop settings.
