BRIDDON LIMITED is offering an Apprenticeship Level 2 as an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder at their Dinnington site. You will gain hands-on welding experience under experienced engineers while learning to read engineering drawings and follow job cards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding activities including use of a MIG welder and other machinery.

• Understand and read engineering drawings/symbols.
• Ensure correct marking up of component parts and meet quality standards.
• Weld joints in accordance with approved procedures and inspect finished components.
• Assist with warehousing duties, loading vehicles and packaging goods.
• Maintain a clean, organized and productive work area and meet timings when trained.

About The Role

Your training and responsibilities as an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder, will include (but not be limited to) the following:

• Carry out welding activities including use of a MIG welder, and other ancillary machinery and equipment
• Creating steel fabrications, utilising machinery such as a band saw, circular saw, bending machine, pillar drill
• Accurately follow job cards and update accordingly
• Understand and read engineering drawings/symbols
• Ensure correct marking up of component parts
• Work to quality standards required for the components
• Weld joints in accordance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements
• Undertake final inspections of finished components
• Assisting with warehousing duties, loading vehicles and packaging goods
• Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area for colleagues and yourself
• When trained, ensure job timings are met/exceeded
