Job summary

McGeoch Technology Ltd. based in Birmingham is seeking a Fabrication/Welder to join their production facility in Birmingham city centre.

You will perform fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components from drawings, using TIG and MIG welding processes, with attention to finish and tolerances. The role reports to the Production Manager and requires reading detailed engineering drawings, adherence to BS EN ISO 15614-1/2 accreditation, and flexibility to work overtime to meet

Qualifications

• BS EN ISO 15614-1 & 15614-2 accreditation (in date)
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Experience with welding Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components from drawings using TIG/MIG welding
• Prepare and weld materials from 1mm to 10mm thickness
• Position, align and fit parts per specifications
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe condition
• Complete tasks within agreed time frames and assist other departments as needed
