Job summary

TradeBridge Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our client’s workshop in Birmingham. The role focuses on TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication, reading drawings, and producing high-quality components with precision and safety.

You will use hand and power tools, inspect work, and collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines. A solid understanding of mechanical principles and basic maths helps ensure accuracy and efficiency on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to assemble metal components.
• Fabricate parts from sheet metal using appropriate tools.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
• Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and assembly procedures.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in the assembly process by fitting, aligning, and securing parts.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently.
