This role involves supporting the Ørsted Fabrication Team on the Hornsea 3 Windfarm Project, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and promoting a safety culture. Candidates should have relevant certifications and experience in HSE management within industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Five years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably fabrication.
  • Ten years of experience in QHSE Management.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Support the Ørsted Fabrication Team in implementing HSE strategy.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Job description

Aventa is seeking, on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—a Fabrication HSE Advisor to join their QHSE Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers on the Hornsea 3 Windfarm Project, contributing to one of the most significant offshore wind developments in the region

The HSE Advisor’s role is to collaborate and support the Package Management and the Ørsted Fabrication Team on site in transferring and implementing the outlined HSE Strategy and objectives on the supplier’s site. He/She will implement the structure around planned HSE activities within the project including management of these.

Success criteria:

· TRIR, NCR reductions amongst Fabrication suppliers

· Ensure implementation and follow-up on Supplier Improvements and Assurance

Activity Plan

· Delivering milestones on time

· Supplier performance according to Ørsted objectives

Responsibilities:

In accordance with the process “Execute QHSE Assurance Plan – Fabrication” – contribute to:

· Fabrication Supplier’s compliance with Employer’s (Ørsted) HSE Requirements according to contract

· Based on risk approach, plan and conduct supplier and process assessments according to relevant activity program

· HSE support to Ørsted Package and Fabrication Team

· Implement and/or follow up on Supplier HSE Improvements (where handed over) and Assurance / Activity Plan according to Project Baseline Agreement

· Contribute to HSEsupplierperformance reporting

· Communicateand coordinateoperational HSE initiatives and interfaces across the organization

· Role model a safety culture that promotes continuous improvements

Tasks:

· Review Supplier HSE documentation prior to start of work and during execution including

o HSE management system procedures and HSE Plan

· Guide and support on HSE strategy, priorities, HSE Improvement Plan and other HSE related matters to the Orsted Package and Fabrication Team

· Based on the Project Baseline Agreement, execute and follow up on the Supplier HSE Activity Plan

· Execute supplier assessments according to the relevant activity programme and ad-hoc needs from Packages

· HSE inspections of supplier fabrication sites to evaluate supplier’s compliance withEmployer’s (Ørsted) HSE Requirements in contract and supplier work procedures

· Maintain Synergi-structure to hold all relevant HSE data

· Assist Fabrication Management with Synergi HSE reporting according to Orsted reporting guidelines and related follow-up (root causes, actions)

· Take part in the Suppliers audits and other relevant activities such as but not limited to inspections, readiness checks, FAIs

· Initiate Communication Notes in case of breach of contract / regulations

· Participate in and follow up on incident investigations

· Participate in Ørsted Supplier meetings (regular QHSE meetings, HIRA, FAI, TOC, ROC drills etc.) where relevant

· Support Ørsted Supplier HSE initiatives and campaigns

· Produce internal Ørsted yard-specific HSE guidelines and safety induction

· Verify Supplier Monthly reporting and follow-up on any concerns

· Produce bi-weekly HSE update and distribute to project stakeholders

· Review of documentation

· Follow-up on supplier actions

· Participation in meetings and risk workshops

· Support to fabrication team

· Yard presence and inspections

· Synergi structure on HSE and case entering

· Continuous monitoring and update of QHSE assurance plan

· Escalation where needed

· Verification of supplier data

· Reporting of supplier performance

Requirements:

Qualification / Requirements

· Completed IOSH course or NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to certificate level or similar.

· Preferable completed NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to Diploma Level or similar.

· Recommended five years of relevant experience within mature industrial manufacturing, ideally within fabrication

· Recommended ten years of experience within QHSE Management

· Experience within Incident investigations and Root Cause Identification

· Knowledge of local Health and Safety Regulations required

· Valid training required in: Work at Height (e.g. GWO) and First Aid

· Valid medical certificate (to fulfil Fabrication Supplier requirements)

· Ability to write and speak English fluently is a must

· Personal skills: Good communicator, motivator with a human touch

· Good interpersonal skills
