Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Proposal Production Engineer in Scunthorpe. The role requires a strong technical understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes to interpret engineering information and produce reliable costings for bids and planning.

You will work on plate and tube bending, welding across copper, carbon steel and stainless, machining, heat treatment, inspection and surface finishing. You will determine the best production route and estimate times to deliver accurate

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering information and BOMs.
• Experience estimating manufacturing times.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience producing costings and quotations.

Responsibilities

• Estimate manufacturing times for each stage of fabrication.
• Produce accurate, commercially competitive costings and quotations.
• Determine the best production route (in-house vs external suppliers).
• Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs to identify required processes.
