CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a hands-on Fabric Technician / Handyperson to support a Borehamwood site and cover mobile roles across multiple locations. The role focuses on general building maintenance and fabric upkeep, requiring practical skills and a reliable, can-do attitude.

You will carry out day-to-day fabric tasks, reactive and basic planned maintenance, minor carpentry, painting, and safety-compliant work across sites.

Formación

• Experience in handyperson, fabric, caretaker or building maintenance roles.
• Good practical skills with a can-do attitude.
• Carpentry or fabric experience preferred; painting/decorating experience helpful.
• UK driving licence and basic IT skills required.
• Comfortable working across different sites with safety awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out day-to-day fabric and general maintenance tasks.
• Complete reactive jobs and basic planned maintenance.
• General repairs including doors, locks and tiles.
• Painting and decorating works as required.
• Minor carpentry tasks and basic building repairs.
• Basic lamp and filter changes; small fixes around site.
• Support small works and minor projects when required.

• Communicate with on-site teams and report issues; maintain safety.

About the role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Fabric Technician / Handyperson to support a site in Borehamwood
This role is focused on general building maintenance and fabric upkeep, ideal for someone practical, reliable and comfortable turning their hand to a range of minor works.

This is a mobile role covering multiple sites, with travel between locations required.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day fabric and general maintenance tasks
• Complete reactive jobs and basic planned maintenance
• General repairs including doors, locks, ironmongery, floor tiles and ceiling tiles
• Painting and decorating works as required
• Minor carpentry tasks and basic building repairs
• Basic lamp changes, filter changes and small fixes around site
• Support small works and minor projects when required
• Use a mobile device (PDA) to log and close jobs
• Communicate effectively with on-site teams and report issues as needed
• Always work safely and follow health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a handyperson, fabric, caretaker or building maintenance role
• Good all‑round practical skills with a “can‑do” attitude
• Previous carpentry or fabric experience preferred
• Painting and decorating experience
• Experience working with fire doors is desirable
• Comfortable working independently across different sites
• Full UK driving licence
• Basic IT skills and confidence using a mobile phone or PDA
• Good awareness of health and safety requirements
