Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Hands-on Joinery/Maintenance Operative to support reactive and planned maintenance across eight sites in the Glasgow area. The role involves working Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, delivering quality workmanship and site compliance across diverse facilities.

You will join a leading facilities management team, bringing joinery and carpentry skills to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in joinery or carpentry within a hands-on maintenance role.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and handle reactive and planned tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within contract-defined SLAs & KPIs.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and delivery of service.
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, monitoring workmanship to meet standards.
• Support the site supervisor with a unified approach for delivering all contracted services on time, within budget and to required quality.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (37.5 hours)

The successful candidate will have joinery / carpentry experience, where they will be working within the Govan area across 8 sites carrying out reactive and PPM tasks.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.


• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.


• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly


• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.


• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
