Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Static Fabric Technician in Derby to take full ownership of the site fabric, delivering planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a Monday–Friday schedule. You will work with a team of specialists to maintain building fabric, utilities, and safety standards.

The role requires a trade background in Joinery, plus the ability to read drawings; basic plumbing or electrical knowledge is a plus. A full UK driving licence and police vetting are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Joinery or equivalent time-served experience.
• Able to read contract drawings/specifications.
• Basic plumbing or electrical experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to undergo police vetting.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Fabric maintenance: ceiling repairs, painting, skirting replacement, door servicing, and FF&E refurbishment.
• Fault finding: identify and diagnose fabric, cladding, and structural issues.
• Specialist checks: fire door inspections and water hygiene testing (training provided).
• Subcontractor supervision: oversee external contractors to ensure safe execution of works.
• Site operations: monitor stock, read utility meters, and assist with health and safety checks.

Location: Derby

Salary: £34,000 per annum + 1 in 3 call out with stand by fee.

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Security Clearance: Police vetting required
