Job summary

Birmingham Hospice is seeking a Lead to run its Microsoft Fabric and Power BI platform within the Digital, Data & Technology department. The role combines hands-on technical work with stakeholder engagement, coaching colleagues and managing suppliers.

You will design, build and govern data products, ensure standards, and drive adoption while reporting to the Head of Technology & Data. DBS clearance is required and degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent substantial professional experience.
• Continued professional development in Fabric, Power BI, data governance and cloud.
• Experience leading production BI and cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery and operation of the Fabric and Power BI platform.
• Build secure ingestion, transformation and orchestration across systems.
• Develop governed workspaces and reusable semantic models.
• Set standards in SQL, Python/PySpark, ETL/ELT, DAX and data modelling.
• Mentor colleagues and manage supplier relationships for value.
