Job Title: Fabric Engineer

Equans is seeking a Fabric Engineer to join our team at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance, repairs, and improvements on physical assets, including fault finding.
2. Collaborate with staff across various grades to provide efficient estate services.
3. Work within wards or departments, communicating with patients and visitors as needed.
4. Interpret instructions, drawings, and specifications independently.
5. Utilize multi-skilled techniques for building structure, fabric, finishes, fixtures, and fittings, such as UPVC windows, locksmith duties, flooring, suspended ceilings, partitions, minor painting, plastering, and furniture assembly.
6. Prepare material lists for repairs or alterations and report low stock levels.
7. Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks are completed according to instructions.
8. Undertake additional training to acquire new skills, sharing knowledge with others.
