Job summary

ALPINE RACING LIMITED is offering a Powertrain Design Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year duration starting July 2027. You will work with the powertrain design team on mechanical component development, CAD modelling, and documentation to support race-ready solutions.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, apply design validation methods, and help ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with Formula One regulations.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and looking for an industry placement as your penultimate year.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD software and familiarity with FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of powertrain components using CAD tools.
• Help prepare technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and component performance.
• Collaborate with simulation, performance, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Investigate and resolve issues occurring from any failures or required improvements for the current car.
