Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Team in Grove, United Kingdom, is seeking a Component Assembly Technician to build, strip, and service complex mechanical assemblies for race, test, and customer cars. You will work from CAD drawings, ensure part integrity, and log build data to preserve part histories.

You’ll join a high-precision environment requiring torque-to-spec discipline and meticulous defect reporting, with potential to progress into trackside roles for the right person.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical components to tight tolerances.
• Comfortable working from CAD drawings and recording build data accurately.
• Experience with Teamcenter PLM, lifing systems, or an ERP/MES will help you settle in quickly.

Responsibilities

• Building, stripping and servicing Williams and customer suspension, brake, steering, power unit integration and drive-train components to Engineering and Manufacturing procedure
• Assessing every component as it comes apart and goes back together, and reporting faults rather than working around them
• Operating pass-off and test rigs
• Raising assembly and quality issues with the team leader or the relevant design authority
• Building to deadlines set by the race and test calendar, working from the daily work list
• Recording build and component information accurately in our systems, so the life history of every part stands up to scrutiny
• Keeping the workshop and equipment to the standard the work demands
