Job summary
Red Bull Technology offers undergraduate students a year-long placement with the F1 Technical team, starting summer 2027, based at our Milton Keynes campus. You will contribute to the Electronics Design function, applying your knowledge to real projects and collaborating with mechanical and electronic engineers.
The role emphasizes problem solving, team involvement, and communication, with hands-on CAD work, loom drawings, and design documentation.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Engineering, Science or Mathematics degree
- Understanding of Electrical and Electronic systems used within Motorsport, Aerospace or Automotive industries
- Strong CAD, Electrical and/or Mechanical analysis
- Experience with CAD Harness packages and PCB design tools (NX12, Altium advantageous)
Responsibilities
- Specification, routing, packaging and installation of Electrical systems in technical projects
- Create loom and sensor drawings, Codes of Practice, Design standards, build documentation and 3D CAD models
- Carry out fault investigation and resolution of allocated issues
- Collaborate across disciplines within the design function
