Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited in London is seeking an Aerodynamicist to shape whole-car aerodynamics for Formula 1 and premier single-seater racing. You will apply advanced CFD and CAD (Siemens NX) workflows, focusing on wake interactions and macro‑aerodynamic concepts.

The role supports developing future F1 car architectures and contributing to regulations, collaborating with external partners. Travel to 2–3 events per year, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in aeronautical/mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years hands-on aerodynamic development in F1, WEC, or high-level single-seater racing.
• Proficiency with CFD/wind-tunnel workflows and their validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of whole-car aerodynamics using advanced CFD analyses.
• Contribute to future aero concepts for F1, F2, F3, FRegional, and F4.
• Define development conditions, methodologies, and physics models for robust solutions.
• Create CAD geometries and liaise with FIA surface designers to meet objectives.
• Present results to internal teams, FIA, and technical leadership of F1 teams.
• Assist in drafting Technical Regulations for future cars.
• Review team interpretations against published regulations.
• Participate in CAD-based legality assessments of current cars.
• Attend 2–3 race/test events for scrutineering support.
• Stay updated on wind tunnel and CFD tech to inform regulations.
