Job summary

Hobbledown Epsom is seeking an enthusiastic F&B Team Leader to join our hospitality team and help run our Food & Beverage operation at the attraction. You will lead frontline staff, ensure smooth service, and maintain safety and hygiene standards throughout the day.

You’ll deliver consistently excellent guest experiences, train and coach team members, and work closely with other departments to create memorable visits for families.

Hobbledown Epsom is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on F&B Team Leader to join our team!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hospitality or food & beverage experience who is ready to take the next step, lead from the front and play an important part in delivering an outstanding experience for the thousands of families who visit us.

At Hobbledown, no two days are quite the same. Our Food & Beverage operation is a key part of the guest experience, and you’ll help make sure our outlets run smoothly, safely and efficiently while maintaining the friendly, welcoming service we’re known for.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an F&B Team Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our Food & Beverage operation, working closely with the management team and leading our front-line team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting the F&B team throughout the day

Delivering consistently excellent customer service and setting a great example for the team

Coordinating daily F&B operations and ensuring outlets are ready for service

Delegating tasks and making sure team members are working effectively

Supporting busy service periods and being hands-on when needed

Ensuring food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times

Monitoring stock levels and helping to minimise waste

Supporting opening and closing procedures

Handling guest queries and resolving issues confidently and professionally

Ensuring cash-handling and till procedures are followed correctly

Helping train, coach and develop team members

Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

Supporting special events, peak periods and seasonal activities across the attraction

Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, positivity and a willingness to get stuck in. Whether you’re organising the team ahead of a busy lunchtime rush, helping a colleague on the till or making sure a guest receives brilliant service, you’ll lead by example.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and confident leading a team

Experienced within hospitality, catering, F&B, leisure or a similar customer-facing environment

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced operation

Organised and able to prioritise effectively

A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

Reliable, proactive and able to use their initiative

Confident dealing with guest queries and resolving problems

Committed to maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety

Flexible and happy to work weekends, school holidays and peak periods as required

Previous supervisory or team-leading experience would be an advantage, but just as important to us is your attitude, enthusiasm and ability to bring out the best in the people around you.
